Solarpunk hackathon

ETHPrague isn’t looking for the next get rich quickly scheme or groundbreaking DeFi apps, instead it’s an event focusing on the future potential of Ethereum and concepts or applications which don’t yet exist. We want to tackle challenges which will or might arise in the next decade and we believe Ethereum will play a major role in solving these. The future is in your hands, anon! You decide whether we end up living in a dark authoritarian dystopia or a bright solarpunk utopia.

Requirements

What to Build

You can build pretty much anything! But only things which are relevant to the theme of the hackathon and the hackathon prizes will get consider to win the prize.

There are a few basic leads:

CAN showcase a protoype solving a particula sociatel issue
CAN be completely new code or a result of aggregation of existing code bases
CAN include motivatioal abstracts explaining why you picked the topic/idea
SHOULD provide value to society
SHOULD be build on Ethereum or closely associated technology
MUST be open sourced
MUST NOT be a stupid money grab (ICO project, NFT drop, DAO for X)

What to Submit

Submit a project in any form before the deadline. Projects will be prescreened and only a filter of projects will be asked to present their idea to the judges. The contact person of the team will be approached to pick a slot for presenting live.

The key point is the quality and completness of the submission. Don't expect submissions which have field answered as TBD to make it through the filter.

URBANISM AWARD

Theme:
Chances are, you are a city creature. Help to solve some of the issues of municipality infrastructure we are facing today or are soon going to be facing.

CRYPTOECONOMICS AWARD

Theme:
Prove your genius by inventing new economic systems. Get circular, start a local UBI project or mess with an economy at scale.

DESIGN AWARD

Simple as that!

SMART CONTRACT AWARD

Theme:
Make your contracts beautiful! Show us breathtaking structures of code which will orchestrate the symphony of your dapp. For that you shall be remembered and awarded!

HACKER'S FAVORITE

The participating hackers should have their say as well! The project with the most votes from other competing hackers will be awarded the Hacker's favorite.
